I must admit, it was a learning experience for me too. For one, it was the first time I went to the source to find out something, and for two, I've neer bothered before, but here are the effects of mixing potions. Potion of Healing: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + Speed, Gain Level, or Gain Energy = Potion of Extra Healing Potion of Extra Healing: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + Gain Level, or Gain Energy = Potion of Gain Ability Potion of Gain Energy, or Gain Level: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + Potion of Confusion = 1/3 chance of Booze, Enlightenment otherwise + Potion of Gain Energy = Potion of Extra Healing + Potion of Extra Healing = Potion of Gain Ability + Potion of Fruit Juice = Potion of See Invisible + Potion of Booze = Potion of Hallucination Potion of Fruit Juice: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + Potion of Sickness = Potion of Sickness + Potion of Speed = Potion of Booze + Potion of Gain Level or Gain Energy = Potion of See Invisible Potion of Enlightenment: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + Potion of Levitation = 1/3 chance of Potion of Gain Level + Potion of Fruit Juice = Potion of Booze + Potion of Booze = Potion of Confusion That's what I got from the sources. In wizard mode, I found that there were many other things that could happen. Mostly, I think it was just the random effects of not having a definite effect. Things that can happen with mixing of other combinations: "The potions mix... The mixture glows brightly, then evaporates." Pretty easy to see what happens. Both disappear. "The potions mix... BOOM! They explode!" Again, self-explanatory. The mixture explodes, you get injured, potions disappear. "The potions mix... The mixture fizzes, then clears." A potion of water is made. "The potions mix... The mixture looks [whatever sickness is]." A potion of sickness is made.
