This is a list of known public NetHack Servers. You can play NetHack online on these hosts, usually connecting with a Telnet or SSH client. The purpose of these servers is the ability to share bones files and the highscore table with other players. To connect to a server, a command like telnet <servername> <port> is used. Sometimes, you have to enter a login name in order to play. The necessary information can be found in the server descriptions further down.

If you play on one of the servers, please remember to resize your telnet windows to 80x25 characters, otherwise the game may crash. If you experience difficulties with some of the keys, please check your terminal configuration. If your <alt> or <meta> key doesn't work, you can use the # hash key to enter extended commands into Nethack.
