First of all, if you came here through a search engine and only entered "HACK" as keyword: this page has NOTHING to do with hacking into computers, hacking software, hacking passwords and so on.
Nethack is just a computer game, and furthermore, it's FREE

One little comment about E-Mail-Spamming: there seems to be people out there in the hostile internet, who use E-Mail-addresses that are not their own for spamming people.
Every now and then I get some complaints that I'd sent some of these messages. I can assure you, every mail with a sender's address being sascha@nethack.de is fake. I don't use this address for sending mails, only for receiving!

Dec/09/2003: 3.4.3 is out!
There is a new minor version available. The DevTeam again has fixed all known bugs. You can download it from many sites all around the world. The list is at sourceforge. My own download mirror site is mentioned there as well.
