Around 30% of our characters end in a bones file. Here at the cemetery you'll meet them again as well as the bones of other players.
You can download the bones for your special version and operating system and get some means of 'multiuser' Nethack on your standalone computer. Please select the correct system and Nethack version from the table below, where an empty entry means that this section of the cemetery is empty.
Sometimes I am asked the question why I don't offer Slash'em bones here. The reason is simply there are too many new versions published in too short time periods. Since the bones are not compatible between different versions, it makes no sense storing old files here.

To keep this service 'alive', I need your bones. Please use a ZIPper to compress the file(s) and include the following details into a descriptive text file :

the platform you've played on (e.g. "NT")
the name and class of character (e.g. "Sascha-W")
the level number or name (e.g. "Level 23" or "Medusa")
the date of death (e.g. "Apr, 1st 1997")
[optional] a short description of the level (e.g. "ML around, 2 Artifacts")

You are unsure about whether or not you can use these bones files? No Problem! Just use Dion Nicolaas' utility NHIDSave and check the "fingerprint" of the desired bones file versus your actual version of nethack.
